INTRODUCTION MACH Academy, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Code. MACH is incorporated in the State of Georgia and South Carolina and is affiliated with the United States Tennis Association-National Junior Tennis League (USTA/NJTL). MACH Academy was founded in April 1992 by Michael Harden and Chike Amobi. Since that time, MACH Academy, Inc. has been providing educational and recreational activities to children and youth in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). MACH is a community based recreational and educational program for children and youth, ages 3 to 18. Special emphasis is given to children and youth that live in public assisted and low income housing communities who are at risk for academic failure. MACH's educational and recreational programs offers an alternative to peer pressure which often leads to violence, substance abuse and teenage pregnancy. Our Technology/Computer literacy, Mentoring, Conflict Resolution, Tennis and Personal Skills Development Programs acts as an ounce of prevention by providing organized after school educational and recreational activities for at risk youths. MACH Academy has received local media coverage and continues to operate as a vital service to area residents and a resource for skill learning, health education and recreation. CONTACT INFORMATION |
